1 week after flu shot, I suddenly came down with a bad cold or mild flu?
I just got my flu shot on Monday, and today I suddenly got feverish and sinuses are inflamed..Don't think it's related, but what can I take to speed up my recovery or keep from getting worse??

You know, the flu shot is made up of about 4 'killed' viruses or whose duplicating mechanisms have been modified, with the thought that our bodies will recognize them as 'non-self' and make up antibodies to combat them. So, you are being injected with a virus that cannot duplicate or is dead. Is it just coincidence you got a cold a couple days after receiving the flu shot?

You're right, they're not related. This is the start of the cold and flu season, so it makes sense that you would be getting sick around now.
For your sinuses, you want to take a good decongestant such a Musinex, which you can get without a prescription. Drink loads of hot fluids and steam, steam, steam - using a vaporizer, standing in the shower, or just inhaling the steam from that tea.
If your symptoms continue, do see your doctor, as you might have a sinus infection.
