Bad cold, flu or just run down?
trying to figure out if I just have a bad cold. I woke up Tuesday feeling a little run down but not run down enough to not continue my exercise training for the week. I do pretty intense cardio 4-5 days a week with weight training and phylometrics. I did an hour of power yoga which wiped me out on Tuesday. Then 2 days later I did a 90 minute run which I always do. Usually my muscles are sore and I am a little tired but I felt completely tired slept like all day for 3 days(Thurs-Sun) with a bad headache, slight runny nose, and all over body aches. Temperature only 98 so no fever, no cough, no sore throat. My period is also coming on too this week sometime. Is it possible to have a bad cold with just body aches, sinus pain fatigue and a slight runny nose? I am pretty sure I dont have the flu because of no fever but it seems like fatigue and body aches are more the flu or is it possible with intense exercise and my period coming up its a coincidence that I would be more fatigued and achy with a cold?? It is Monday now and I am feeling about 50% better. Thanks for any suggestions

Hello. first of all, with your period coming, that's enough to make you feel rundown in and by itself. I think your gut is right. I think you are fighting off a cold that may have progressed into a sinus infection. I say this because they can make you feel horrible and give you terrible headaches as well. Unfortunately, you need to go to the doctor to get rid of this. You most likely need some antibiotics and perhaps something to help get things moving out of your sinuses . Call and make an appointment for yourself. In the meanwhile, keep your fluids up and perhaps take something over the counter for the discomfort. Although from my experience, it may take the edge off, but you will still feel pain. Soups with pepper in them actually work really well to get things moving and you will be eating, which you need to do anyway to help yourself heal. I hope that this has helped and feel better soon!

sounds like allergies with a side of over-exertion...
try chilling out with all of the exercise before it makes you unhealthy... by doing that much it can cause overwhelming stress which can cause all of those symptoms
take a break and do half of that for a couple weeks and you'll feel better all around
I also would go to your family doctor and make sure that you haven't developed an allergy to something, because people can develope alergies until the day they die, age is not a factor.
