Can anesthesia cause cold/allergy symptoms?
I had a minor procedure today (the fun intestinal one) where I was under general anesthesia for about 90 minutes. From the time I woke up, I've had a stuffy nose, sinus pressure, puffy eyes and occasional bouts of non-stop sneezing. None of my research shows this as a symptom, and the healthcare after hours call center couldn't tell me anything (darned HMOs). Is this a normal after effect?

It is normal, because they put you on oxygen while you were under the anesthetic and it dries out your sinuses. That caused your stuffy nose etc. Use a saline solution the commercially prepared OCEAN. Or make your own by adding a tsp. of regular salt to 8 ounces of warm water and using it in your nose. It adds moisture to your nasal passages and really helps.

You may have had a cold coming on beforehand. The Anesthetic may have helped to induce it.
