canker soars vs. cold soars?
so i have braces and whenever i get the littlest cut in my mouth it turns into a canker soar. since i get cuts a lot in my mouth i tend to get canker soars a lot. I was told that canker soars are a virus, are they?. I was wondering what the difference between cold soars and canker soars are. If my canker soars result from cuts do i have virus or no?

canker sores are a virus. Its herpies simplex. The difference between a canker sore and a cold sore is a canker sore in in the mouth and a open wound. a cold sore is on the outisde of the mouth usually around the lips. As long as you dont pick at it a cold sore usually doesnt become an open wound, just more of a bump. To help get rid of them, for the canker sore you need to get the purple medicine thats used for thrush mouth. To cure a cold sore (this may sound bad but works) heat up a spoon and touch it to it. it doesnt hurt that bad and its almost instantly gone.

We dont know what canker sores are really caused by. Some dentist and doctors say its stress and while others say its just a thing that happens when your body produces to much acid. Cold sores are definately a virus. Its a herpes virus you can get it from kissing someone that has it or has a cold, sharing drinks or even just coming in close contact with some one will give you them.

"Purple medicine and heat up a spoon" that doesn't sound like reliable advise. I would do neither if it was me. Canker sores are from the trauma that you described and then they ulcerate due to the bacteria that live in our mouths. The cold sore, sometimes called fever blisters do have a viral component which is from the Herpes family. Use your wax diligently, especially when you sleep and this may help. If your canker sores occur as a result of cuts we call them traumatic ulcers and as already stated they are not viral. Good Luck.

Dood, you dont know what you are talking about herpes is cold sores not canker, canker is NOT a virus doctors dont actually know what causes them,
"Canker sores are shallow, painful sores in the mouth. They are usually red or may sometimes have a white coating over them. You might get them on the inside of your lips, the insides of your cheeks, the base of your gums or under your tongue. Canker sores are different from fever blisters, which usually are on the outside of your lips or the corners of your mouth.
Anyone can get canker sores, but women and people in their teens and 20s get them more often. Canker sores may run in families, but they aren't contagious. Doctors don't know what causes canker sores, but they may be triggered by stress, poor nutrition, food allergies and menstrual periods."
Its not a virus, the person who told you dont knwo what they are talking about, i did research on this, for a biology project.
