Does ALKA-SELTZER PLUS COLD & COUGH LIGUID GELS normally make you drowsy?
I have the flu and i was asking that and i felt really drowsy but I also take something else that always knocks me out. So i was wondering if it is normal for this specific pill to knock you on your behind. :)

This is the exact product.

Definitely a possibility, depending on your own body's reaction to the Dextromethorphan.

There are 4 ingredients in this product:

Acetominophen = Tylenol (Not gonna make your drowsy)

Chlorpheniramine (Low dose per dose - Doubtful)

Dextromethorphan - Yes, this will make you drowsy, some people it doesn't bother.. but it is the active ingredient in Nyquil or many other cough preparations (it is the ingredient that is the cough suppressant).

Phenylephrine = The new substitute for Pseudo-ephedrine (since the ban - or rather OTC but with tracking status) -- This is a nasal decongestant, and the last thing it will do is make you sleepy. So there is a little battle going on between the Phenylephrine and Dextromethorpan --

Combine this with you are already ingesting something that invokes drowsines and the Phenylephrine loses :)

Hope that helps.
