Does spicy food help with cold and flu symptoms?
I have been sick for 4 days now and all I feel like eating is Thai Laksa (which unfortunately is $ 10 a bowl lol) I just 'feel' as though eating it will make me feel better, it is VERY spicy and hot. Is there any truth to this feeling? Will the Laksa cure me?

Hell no. Spicy food is really bad when it comes to colds. It makes me throw up when I eat and makes me feel worse.

BEST is drink clear soup, lots of water and juice. If not, you can also take green tea. Laksa can make your stuffy nose goes away but too much will affect your digestive system because it is too spicy.
REST in bed helps your body recover. Take hot shower if needed not cold shower (as the Asians do).

I do agree with Sandra.
However, based on homoeopathy medicines certain spicy ingredients like pepper, garlic and ginger are found to be effective to get rid off cold in a natural way.
So, you may try.
