How serious is an overdose on beechams?
I had a terrible cough/cold/you name it on monday and started to take beechams cold and flu tablets. I took 2 every 4 hours and stupidly forgot the warning not to take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours, i took 12 before I realised. Since then I have had severe diarrhea, is this a side affect of the medication? I can't eat a thing and am struggling to even drink water. Is their anything I can do? This is a serious concern please no silly abuse.

i would think u should contact a doctor or at least the NHS-direct service if you are in the UK (as you can phone them so dont need to leave your house). I would imagine you really need to force yourself to drink water though as the diahrroea will be dehyrdrating you a lot and it will be a real problem if you get too dehyrdrated... at least it doesnt sound like you have overdosed by too many but better safe than sorry if you have the possibility of contacting a doctor.
