How to prevent cold when you know it's coming?
I'm in a very early stage of cold. I can always tell when it's coming, a tingly feeling in the back of my nose.
Is there any way I can prevent it from ever becoming a cold?

I use a mixture of very warm water and 1/4 tsp or so of salt. Mix very well in a shallow bowl, to dissolve the salt and siphon it up through each nostril (one at a time), spitting it out as you rinse out the sinus passages. The salt prevents the germs from adhering to the inside of the nose. It may take a bit of practice but it works well.
I believe they also sell something now that you can apply into the nostrils, but using the salt is much cheaper.

Zinc treats cold symptoms more effectively than any other product on the market. Zicam has a number of sprays that can help.
Apparently the Zinc inhibits viral growth, which explains why the Zicam works.
It may not fully prevent a cold, but it will reduce the symptoms and shorter the duration.
