I have a 1973 ford torino 351w and a c4 transmission. It goes into reverse perfectly. when its cold it moves?
In drive when cold it moves after 5 mins it acts like something is locked up. When jacked up it turns the left rear wheel and seems to shift. But under load(tires on the ground) it doesn't move.The fluid level is ok. Any suggestions or queastions?

Sound like it needs a rebuild.

Try changing the filter and fluid. If that doesn't work, find a good transmission shop.
