Is This The Flu/Cold Or What ?
About a week ago I started getting allergie symptoms. Sneezing and stuffy nose. Then about 3 days later I woke up and felt like I was coming down with something. I had chills, and took my temp and had a fever. Then the next day I took some medicine and then my fever went down, started feeling great. Then went to sleep, woke up in the middle of the night sweating and hot and had another fever of 101.8. Then today I threw up and still had a fever of 101. Then it went down to 99.3, now its back up again to 101.2. I don't know what's going on. Is this normal ? Is it normal to have a fever go up and down like that ? Do you think I have the flew. I feel hot with body chills, and a headache. What should I do to get better faster ?

Yes it is very normal for your fever to fluctuate when you are ill and even when your not. You should definitely take something for your fever. Aspirin or ibuprofen, what ever your choice is will bring your fever down, help with the headache and the chills. You know some people can get really ill from allergies now too. You can get a headache and an upset stomach from the mucous drainage and chills because of the fever. I get allergies really, really bad with all the symptoms you just mentioned. When I go to the doctor he tells me it's just allergies. A lot of times my allergies turn into sinusitis. It could be the flu, maybe you should see your doctor since it's been so long. Just for some relief if nothing else.

Try an allergy medication too if you can. It won't hurt.

get well and take care
