Can I get on airplane with this cold? I REALLY have to.?
I need to travel the day after tomorrow. But i've caught a common cold. Symptoms include a stuffy nose, ocassional episodes of sneezing and head congestion.
I'm taking some alternative medicine, along with panadol cold and flu capsules and throat spray. Do you think its ok to still travel? Any ideas on what I can do to make sure it doesn't get worse?

Take some airborne medicine and offer some to the people around you so you don't get them sick!

Take it easy for the next twenty-four hours. Drink plenty of fluids, preferably water. Use hankies. Take a bath, and soak in it, it helps clear the blocked nasal passages, and helps give vitality to your body that is weakened by this illness. I'm a veteran at having colds, and these all help.

Go to your local drugstore (like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc.) and get some of that "Airborne" medicine. Then when you board your flight, tell the people around you about your condition and they'll likely understand.

Of course you still can travel. A cold is normal and they can't prevent you from flying.

Take whatever is making you feel better. Any over the counter medicines with decongestants and fever reducers can help you feel better. Make sure to pack some medicine in your carry on as well as in your luggage if you are still sick at your destination. Also, protect the other passengers by frequently washing your hands or using hand sanitizer, and if you have to cough or sneeze make sure you do it into a tissue, or your arm(sleeve) and not into your hands which can potentially give your sickness to other travelers. Good luck and hope you feel better.
