Help! I've been sick the past couple day with a cold--runny nose, sore throat. Is this normal?
...for this time of the year? Or is it something serious? I live in Indiana and its been a little cooler outside lately, especially at night.

You can get a cold at any time of year. Drink plenty of fluids, keep yourself warm, get enough rest, wash hands well; it should be improved in a week.

Like me, you may be allergic to ragweed. This is the prime time for it. I live in Missouri and I'm miserable right now. I have all of your symptoms.
Since I'm not a doc. I can't say if that's what it is or if you just have a regular cold. Sometimes weather changes can effect us.
If it is allergies here are a couple of things you can do: If you can, run your home and car a/c or at least the fan, keep your windows shut in your house and car, if you're outside for a while, change your clothes and shower when you go back inside your house. Usually the ragweed lasts from Late Aug. to Late Oct. A hard freeze finally kills it off.
Good luck maybe you'll be lucky and just have a cold.
