Interpret My "Psychic" Dream?
Please tell me what you make of this??
About six months ago I was staying at a relatives house with a cold. I remember I took a whole bunch of Alka-Seltzer PM and interestingly enough watched a documentary on Edgar Cayce "The Sleeping Psychic." I got about 3/4 of the way through the doc. before the medicine kicked in and I fell asleep.

THE DREAM:
I remember dreaming me and two close friends were at another one of our mutual friends house oddly enough eating chips in a tree. (Even wierder, we all were joking and calling it a "chip-nic")
We were all having a good time when a cop came flying around the corner going so fast he drifted around the turn barley making it. Seconds later he(or she) was followed by 7-10 cops one after the other underestimating the sharpness of the turn, each one flying off a 45 foot cliff down into the creek below. It seemed sooo real!
I dont know why I remembered it so vividly, more vividly than most dreams I've ever had. I awoke to my brother walking in the door and I immediately told him about my dream, which I usually dont feel the need to ever do. I looked at the clock, it was 11PM (I'd been asleep for about two and a half hours) I fell back asleep and that was that.

THE NEXT DAY
The next day I was LITERALLY just about to tell my friend about my dream that took place at her house when she started (without me even bringing it up) to tell me about a woman who she knows pretty well going off the cliff at the SAME EXACT PLACE and the SAME EXACT TIME it happened.
Apparently the woman, who had been drinking(maybe explaining the cops in my dream) was, she claimed, being chased by another car at high speeds when she over-corrected the turn in my dream (although the opposite direction from my dream) and launched her jeep 45 feet to the river bottom below. Disoriented and bleeding, it took her almost an hour and a half to hike the 60+ feet back to my friends house. She was crying and mumbling incoherently, still dazed from the wreck. My friend described it as a very traumatic experience, even for her.

It just seems, to me, there were too many closely related details to explain this as coincidence: The exact time/place, the documentary of psychic abilities, the vividness of my dream, the fact that I usually don't talk about my dreams.

I'm not implying I'm a psychic, I don't believe I have any more ability to predict the future than anybody else, but I do believe everyone is in some way universally connected and some are more perceptive to this ability and under the right circumstances. Taking into account the cold/flu drugs I was on, maybe it made me more perceptive to the collected unconsciousness of society. And on the other hand maybe not.

What do you think?

I think the reason I am so interested at getting to the bottom of this is the amazing/horrific dream I had later on the same night as the cop dream. I live near the pacific ocean and I dreamt a giant tsunami overtook the small mountain town I live in, surging hundred of feet over the mountains and engulfing almost everything in sight. I'm talking a disaster that can only be conveyed through a big-budget blockbuster movie. For the sake of length I'm not going into detail about that dream, but it has only sparked my curiosity about that night.

Your dreams were vivid and troubled because you were both ill and medicated. You have obviously watched car go around that curve many times and part of you has worried that someone would go off of it. I'm almost positive that the fact that someone actually did was a coincidence. The only thing that makes me hesitant to say so is that your dream did not actually predict the future but something that was happening at the same time. Some kind of extra sensory perception across space as opposed to time seems barely plausible to me as a matter of physics, so I won't rule it out.

Dreams in general are products of the subconscious mind trying to make sense of something that is troubling you in your waking life or trying to send you a "message" from your inner self in symbolic imagery.
