Is it alright to take 5 Hour Energy Shots while sick?
I am very sick, not sure yet with what but I have the symptoms a fever, a stomach virus and an ear ache all together. And the worst part is I can taste or smell anything, and... I just got finished with my last sickness a couple of days before I got this one. I am completely energy draining and need a spur of energy. Would it be alright to a 5 Hour energy shot while on over-the-counter cold/flu medication?

No, having energy products, such as drinks, while on medication is bad for you. It can create an irregular heart beat, it's like having medication and drinking alcohol. I just suggest plenty of rest.

The massive B12 dose may actually help your body. It assists in red blood cell production, and nervous system repair.

Well i dont think a doc would recommend it. That 5 hour one contains so much caffine it may make you feel good now but you may have a crash especially if you are sick. They are also known to lower your heart rates and increase your blood pressure. When your sick your blood pressure is already comprimised especially if you are taking any pain killers.(name brands) Those drinks also contain lots of citric acid which thins your blood(thus the blood pressure) and may give you nose bleeds, headaches, ect.
Its a sucky thing to be sick hope you fell better. Try a nice hearty soup, stay away from dairy and sugar products. get sleep and drink lots of water. ALso just my home remedy> boil water, chop some ginger chunks, add cayenne pepper, let it steep a little and drink. (no sugar or milk)add a splash of lemon if you feel like.
GO TO SLEEP
