Is it normal to catch a cold right after the Swine Flu and Flu shot?
I caught a cold a couple days after my shots
My flu shot was dead and my swine flu was alive
Just wondering is it normal

Yea that happens to me when I get my flu shot usually. Just feel a little out of it for the next few days. Different people react different ways and unfortunately that's probably how your body reacts.

Actually all vaccines carry the actual germ that cause the flu. So yes it is normal for you to get a cold.

Oh Janess!!!

I get so nervous with these questions! Have you looked into the ingredients of both shots? Your body could of had a reaction to something in the shot.

I personally would never have gotten the shot..either one of them. After doing some intense research on them, I chose not to get them.

Please look into the shot further so you can fully asses what it in it.

Green-eyed Barbie is WRONG! Not all vaccines carry "live attenuated" viruses. One of the season flu vaccines does have "live attenuated" virus (liquid)shot up nose, and the other only has proteins of the viruses would trigger immune response so that your body recognizes when you are actually exposed to the virus. You DO NOT get the flu or colds...etc, from vaccines. If you get the vaccine for one type of flu, it does not typically protect you from another strain of the flu that you may become exposed to. Everyone should talk to their doctor and receive the seasonal flu shot.

Myself, I'm not getting the H1N1 for my own personal reason. Realize the the moron in the Whitehouse knows dick about medicine. He declared a national emergency over 1000 deaths from H1N1?? Are you kidding me? During a normal year, upwards of 37,000+ people die from complications of flu. If you suffer from any serious or chronic medical problems, especially respiratory issues such as asthma or COPD, you should get the seasonal flu shot. -
