Is this a cold, flu, or something else? Also, need advice on healing!?
About 14 days ago I all the sudden started noticing my throat get scratchy, which progressed to all out hurting, which progressed to a headache, and general body heaviness, and chest pressure. I went to the docs who put me on ZPAK, and some nasal spray. 4-5 days later, the heaviness/throat pain and chest pressure went away, and then progressed to this full blown head cold with extremely runny nose, whiich ran every 10 seconds, or so, extreme headache, glossy/watery eyes, facial pressure and pain, and lots of sneezing and some coughing. As the days progressed, I went back to the docs who gave me levaquin (an antibiotic) which i DID NOT take yet, thinking what I have is viral.
Anyways the last few days I've started to feel a bit better, but whatever this is was horrid and knocked me out big time, and I completely lost my intellectual reasoning! I could NOT think!
Colds aren't usually this bad, so what is this. BAD cold? Flu?
what's the BEST way to heal? Sleep? nutrition?
Well, body heaviness is a sensation that makes you feel weak and your body feels like it weighs a ton, guess you never had that symptom?
Also, my doc never said he didnt THINK it was viral, he just gave me an antibiotic like candy.
I'll still prolly take it but I've had viral infections in my life and think I can realize one from not.

Lots of rest, copious amounts of fresh orange juice and water, light soups such as chicken and vegies and cut out the sugary and white foods if you can.
Also, go get yourself a powdered form of vitamin C with bioflavonoids in it from the health food store. Take 4 - 5000mg per day (4 - 5 teaspoons) ie: 1 teaspoon mixed with water every couple of hours, until your symptoms disappear. Vitamin C's effectiveness is increased in the presence of Zinc, like 10 fold !!! Soooooooooo eat more foods rich in Zinc as well ie: seafoods, pumpkin seeds, lean red meats, poultry and legumes (peas, beans and lentils).
Vitamin C, Zinc, Iron too and the B complex of vitamins to help your body deal with the extra stress its been under with the virus you've had. Go get yourself a good quality B complex supplement including all the B's as they work best together. As the B group of vitamins is a water soluble group our bodies can neither produce or store them so we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences !! ............ symptoms of B vitamin deficiency - headaches and migraines, nausea and vomiting, irritability and moodiness, inability to concentrate, depression, constipation, insomnia, dizzy spells, inability to concentrate, loss of balance, excessive sweating, numbing and prickling and tingling sensations in the outer extremities and even chest pains and heart palpitations !! Not pretty hey ............ foods rich B group of vitamins are leafy and green vegies, wholegrains and cereals, milk and dairy, nuts and seeds.............. :0)
