What natural/home products are good to battle a cold or flu?
I'm down now day 4 and no fever or headache just stuffy and runny nose, some sore throat, body ache etc. Was to doctor he said go home.
I use soup, tea and tylenol. What else is good. Is it true that garlic helps?
BTW I started seroquel 4 days ago for OCD and it says 1 of the side effects can be sore throat.
Also I feel weak and tired so IDK if it's flu or cold but makes no much difference when it comes to healing I guess.

Hot things like soup and tea can help clear your sinuses.
Mostly I would stick with taking a lot of vitamin C and drinking lots of fluids.
I had a doctor recommend 7-up for a sore throat. The carbonation can kind of make it feel better.

Steam the stuffy nose and try a netty pot to clear out all the built up mucus. Mom's chicken soup has been shown to help (if Mom is not available just your favorite brand) and echinacea tea. Also the old wives tale is "Starve a cold, feed a fever" -

I'm a new believer in andrographis - it just killed my cold in two days (I'm normally a 7 day+ person). I've got an article about it at: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1916468/andrographis_a_cure_for_the_common.html?cat=5
