Can allergy medicine relieve cold symptoms (runny nose)?
I'm asking because the worst symptom of my colds is a non-stop runny nose. I don't know anyone who experiences a runny nose as bad and for as long as I do. Every time I ask people what they recommend, they tell my Zyrtec, which is an allergy medicine.
It makes sense that medicine will target the same sites and therefore relieve symptoms, but then again, why would allergy/cold medicines be separate if they did the same thing?
So, can allergy medicine alleviate certain cold symptoms as well?
Thanks.

Yes, Benadryl works for me. Try it, it relieves my stuffy nose and congestion and sneezing at the same time. Please read the direction carefully.
