Can a cold turn into a flu? Or the other way around?
Yes, I have tried google and everything I find they talk about one or the other but I never found one that answers my question. Does anyone know the for sure answer?

No a cold will not turn into the flu unless you are exposed to both of these things. If you have a cold and then are exposed to the flu then you could get the flu while you still had the cold or visa versa but you have to come in contact with each of these things to get it.

"The flu" is short for the Influenza virus, which IS your basic common cold. (When we say stomach "flu", we are really misstating it. ) The cold, or influenza can have many different symptoms, sometimes it stays in your throat, sometimes in the sinus, sometimes in the chest or upper respiratory system. There is no cure, because it is a VIRUS. However, if your symptoms, worsen, you may be given an antibiotic to kill any BACTERIA. Just rest, drink fluids, and someone told me that though expensive, Mucinex is great at breaking up all the green gook.
