Can the flu shot make you get a cold the day after you get it?
I just got my anual flu shot yesterday and now I'm getting a cold....it always starts with a sore throat, goes away the next day and then comes back with a vengence. Just curious as to if this has ever happened to you. I know you can get sick (of some sort) after you get the shot but I don't know if it's just a common cold or if it's related to the shot. Thanks in advance for your answers!

Make you wonder sometimes if the medical people are above board with their claims. Vaccines have been linked to autism and other diseases, flu shots have been linked to actually bringing on colds and the flu, etc.

no what is in the injection is inactive so cannot make you develop symptoms. here in the east a wicked upper respiratory thing has been going around like crazy - may just be a coincidence!

They say its a coincidence because they inject you with a dead virus.
All I know is the ONE time I got a flu shot, a week later I had to be hospitalized with the worst flu ever.
Horrible coincidence? Maybe. But I have never gotten another one.

I'm pretty sure that when they give you the shot, they actually give you the virus, with some type of vaccine, so that your immune system can fight it, and develop antibodies.
