Do you think the global fear over swine flu is justified?
The so-called swine flu virus, comprised of bird, pig and human components, has caused tremendous concern around the world in recent days, with many wondering if this is the global pandemic scientists and health care professionals have been forecasting for quite some time. SARS and avian/bird flu were also thought to be pandemics when first discovered, but while both caused deaths and serious illnesses, neither developed into the catastrophe some were warning of.
What do you think? Are we right to be seriously concerned about this outbreak, or is it being blown out of proportion?

Absolutely not justified... We could be scared of a million different things. Anything and everything could happen. I could walk out on the street today and die a hundred different ways. Does that mean I should just stay in bed? A man was murdered on a bus in the middle of the day in Canada. Should we all stop taking the bus? There is always something to panic about if we choose to do so. I choose not to.

global fear of any flu that are not normally seen is justified, why because they can become into other strains of flu not seen before........efforts need to be always made on prevention, prevention, o and prevention...so other strains dont spread around since the strains are constantly mutated...
