Equate Extra Strength Pain Reliever vs. Dayquil Cold & Flu?
At 6:30 this morning I took an Extra Strength Pain Reliever with Acetaminophen for a cold I have. Didn't do much (probably because I mistook it for ibuprofen). At 1:00 I went to walmart and bought the Dayquil, which also has Acetaminophen. I asked the pharmacist if it is ok to take the dayquil 7 hours after I took ibuprofen (which, again, I mistook for the extra strength pain reliever). he said it was ok so i took it. I then realized my mistake so now I'm wondering if it was ok to take the dayquil 7 hours after. Drug facts are as follows: Equate Extra Strength Pain Reliever, non-aspirin, 500 mg of acetaminophen each, took 2 tablets at 6 AM. DayQuil Cold & Flu: 325 mg of Acetaminophen in each tablet, took 2 tablets at 1 PM.
Let me know if you need more info, but is this safe? If not, what to do?
