Flu Shot????
My daughter had a flu shot yesterday and has had diarrhea all day today. Did the flu shot do this? She is 8 months old

i didn't know that an infant could get the fly shot, but thats most likely what caused it. check with her peds though

It is very common to get a mild illnes after getting a flu shot.

Also you may be surprised to know that the doctors at the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) pick the flu strains to include in the vaccine about a year before the flu season. This is so that vaccines can be produced and shipped to market in time. However they don't 'know' exactly which flu viruses will be going around, so they make 'educated' guesses at which viruses are 'most likely' to be going around next year. This year they missed badly. Something like 60% of flu cases reported this year were strains not covered by the vaccine that is being given out this year. Pretty poor odds, in my opinion.
