Getting the swine flu nasal vaccine with a mild cold?
I got my swine flu nasal vaccine yesterday and I told my doctor I had a runny nose. After I got it i waited about 30 minutes but then snot started running down my face so I had to blow. Did I loose the vaccination in my body when I blew my nose?

That is not easy to know if you did or did not lose the vaccination. but if you did or think you want to do more to prevent getting the H1N1 Swine flu virus try these steps of simple measures that I personally use and believe it works great. These suggestions were given by a Doctor who is head of the Nuclear Medicine Department and also is a Specialist Doctor of Thyroid conditions. He says these steps are just as good as having the H1N1/swine flu virus vaccine.
Gargle at least twice a day with warm salt water. Cleanse your nasal passages with warm salt water at least once a day. Both of these steps will help prevent proliferation of bacteria and virus. Wash your hands very frequently and keep them clean. Do not touch your face except only to eat food. Take Vitamin C supplements with Zinc to absorb faster into your body and also eat a lot of Vitamin C enriched foods to build and boost your immunity system for better protection. Drink as much warm water as you possibly can and a lot of other fluids to act in the same way as Gargling except in the reverse direction to wash off any bacterias on your tongue and pass through the throat and into the stomach where it cannot survive and cannot proliferate or do you any further harm. As you notice spending some moments Gargling the warm salt water and cleansing of nasal passages good are because they are the only portals on entry into your body besides your mouth too. All of these steps are simple and easy to get into the habit of doing everyday. I hope some of this has helped so you can try and prevent getting any of these viruses.
Good Luck to you and stay healthy

why would you ever have a live virus squirted into your nasal cavity? you do know that you are most likely spreading the flu this way, right?

Many, many people have very little understanding of flu vaccines, viruses in general and the immune system. They believe flu vaccines give you the flu, they believe you can transmit flu to others after receiving a vaccine.
You should probably have not received the vaccine while you had a runny nose. It tends to be less effective.

of course there is doubt that the vaccine is gone when you blewn your nose to be sure just get a shot when your body resistance is okay but then it is a vital important to consult your doctor about it.

No, blowing your nose half an hour later will not affect the absorption of the vaccine. You're protected after about ten days to two weeks.
