I have a recurring cough that lasts a few weeks at a time, and is worse at night, why do I keep getting it?
I am 20, and for a year now I will get a cough that lasts for around 2 weeks, and it recurs every month. My brother is 6, and also suffers from recurring cough, which the doctor simply says he will grow out of. We do not live together, and rarely see eachother, so cannot be from shared allergies.
The cough gets worse at night, is not painful, just extremely annoying, I cannot laugh without bursting into fits of coughing. I have no other cold or flu symptoms, does anyone have an idea of what it maybe, and how I can ease it, as the doctors don't seem interested. I have also just started a diary of when I get it and when it goes.

Get a real doctor to diagnose your inherited disease.

Could be a form of asthma, and that runs in families, get another doc to look into it
