Really sore throat, help?
I woke up 2 days ago and the side of my throat was slightly ticklish. Yesterday my throat hurt a little bit mre so I took Nurofen Cold&Flu and some Strepsils. This morning I woke up and my throat was hurting a lot more. I don't have any cold symptopms. I sneezed once but that was it, not to mention the fact that I never really get a sore throat during colds. Does anyone know what could it be?
Ok,thanks :D I'll ask my mam to let me go to the doctor and we'll see what he has to say.

Take 1 tsp fresh ginger juice, ½ tsp honey and a pinch of turmeric. Take this mixture thrice a day.
Drinking warm milk to which a pinch of turmeric and a teaspoon of sugar are added also helps to soothe your throat.

Generally warm salt water will help. Use 1 to 2 tsps. of salt for a pint of warm water. The trick is to gargle not just swoosh it around. After all you want to get way back there with the salt water so tip your head back and start those motor boat noises. If you do this a few times a day you should feel better.

do you have your tonsils ? if so it could be a mild tonsil infection " tonsillitis" if it continues to hurt for more than 3 days it may require antibiotics , but try warm water mixed with salt to try and kill any germs that may be having a party in there , Ibuprofen "advil" will help with the pain
good luck

Definitely go see the doctor. In the meantime, try making a cup of hot tea with honey and a squeeze of lemon. It's soothing and tasty. Also, you can try gargling with warm salt water.
