What is the difference between a cold and the flu?
Is there an actual relationship between being physically cold and contracting the cold virus afterwards? Does a cold always lead to the flu?
The little i know is that the cold is caused by a Rhinovirus and the flu by an Influenzavirus

There isn't a direct correlation between being physically cold and contracting the cold virus. the reason people contract the virus in the colder months of the year is because the virus is transmitted by direct contact and it is airborne as well. Since people are more indoors during the colder months, they are closer to each other, increasing the chances of contracting and spreading the virus. And a cold does not always lead to the flu. In the cases that it does, it is because the immune system is weakened, allowing for a new virus to be contracted.
