Even though flu shots are usually not live virus, when you are sick, your immune system is down and the chances of you getting sicker are very high. As you are still being injected with a FLU VIRUS to literally build up your system from the FLU.

the cells that fight off the cold now get split and have to accept the vaccine from the shot. so the stop fighting the cold

The flu shot could make you get the flu if you already have a cold. Your resistance is already down and susceptible to getting sicker.
