How cold is the cold water setting on your laundry machine?
I have two "COLD" settings on my washing machine, one is under "Auto Temp Control", and the other one isn't. When I set it to "Auto Temp Control", it uses a combination of warm and cold water. But if I set to the other one, it uses just cold water. Which one is more appropriate to use if I'm using Tide Cold Water detergent?

*Cold water temperature would be as cold as the ambient temperature outside, could be as low as 15 C which is OK for washing dark coloured fabric and light soiling.

* Auto temp is probably warm (can be checked with a thermometer or by feel) - would give you a better wash and easily dissolve the washing powder.

Remember always dissolve your powder before adding cloths to washer (you'll increase your fabric life).

Good luck!
