How long do cats have rabies?
I'm a little worried since i read one article that said some cats can have "lifelong rabies" and never show symptons. Most of the things i read said that rabid cats have an incubation period of about 2-6 weeks and that they die in a couple of days once symptons occur.

Details: I was bit by a stray cat on July 3 (almost 3 months ago). My family has known the cat for almost a year before my incident. We would feed him and play with him almost everyday. I was trying to make him do a little dance by moving his paw around. I dont think he minded the first time, but the second time he pulled his paw back (didn't make any noise or showed any anger). It was during my third attempt that he gave me a little "stop doing that" bite. The kind of bite he gave me was sort of the bite cats would give when playing with a toy or trying to a get a female cat to mate with them. It wasn't a "male cat vs. male cat" aggressive bite. I was wearing a rubber glove on the hand that he bit so i only received one little puncture or wound about the size of a pencil dot. I immediately washed my hand with soap and applied antibiotic cream for the next few days. I didn't receive any medical help because i didn't think he had rabies since he had been with us for a year now and rabid cats die pretty fast. The skin over my wound healed but their is still a red dot there so i'm a little worried. The cat was still with us over these three months (acting the same) so i was still convinced that he didn't have rabies.

Cat Details: He is friendly, hes had a couple of kittens with many other stray cats, one of his eyes looks like it had been scratched and is always watery or had liquid around it (until recently), he usually keeps both of his eyes closed, he always fights with other male cats around his territory (our backyard), he pees on random things (im guessing to mark his territory), he never attacked anyone in my family before my bite
*RECENTLY* Both of his eyes are now usually open and the liquid around them is gone (one eye is still less opened than the other). Yesterday he had just fought with one of his children and attacked another cat after shortly following it (NOTE: the kitten was a female that always annoys the cat (that bit me) by always rubbing against him). I had the common cold or flu 2 weeks ago and i am recovering fine now. But you could see why i am really worried about that one article that said some cats have "lifelong rabies" and never show symptons.

So my main questions are:
1. Is it true that some cats have "lifelong rabies"?
2. How long do rabid cats live?
3. Can you get rabies from a cat whose virus hasn't reached the brain yet. (In other words, can you get rabies from a cat who is still in the incubation period?)
4. I have been fine for the past three months now, should i still be worried?
5. Could I have possibly get another virus or disease besides rabies?
6. How can some rabies virus incubation periods last for years? I'm really curious since i read that it is a fast virus.

So it would be really great if someone could answer at least one of my questions (especially the first one) because im a little worried. Please cite your sources if you can. Thanks!

tldr. no one cares that much about your cat.
but if you want a cure.
give it some of your blood. direct. it has to bite you.
