cold sores are caused by the chicken pox virus, and are the same thing as fever blisters. cracked lips can come whenever you haven't been drinking enough water, and your body runs through more water when you have a cold, so, yeah, when you have a cold, its expected that your lips would star to crack and get chapped and icky.

many would say it is true. study your own body. they say cold weather doesn't make a person sick, but I bed to differ.
