Do I have a patulous Eustachian tube?
I've had a flu or a cold for the last few days and starting last night, out of absolutely no where my right ear started feeling like it does when youre going up on an airplane ( lots of pressure).
I was reading on wikipeida that its possible for the tube to stay open and you need surgery to correct it, but i also read this.
Eustachian tube dysfunction can be caused by recurring and chronic cases of sinus infection. This results from excessive mucus production which causes obstruction to the openings of the Eustachian tubes.
Well, Ive had a pretty bad cold, so.. Is it going to stay like this?
Also, whenever I yawn, i can hear popping in my ear, i thought the tube had to be closed and then open up for you to hear popping.
So, what do I have? and how can i fix it? or will it stay like this?
Also, my own voice has been echoing since my ear felt like this. I also hear a faint drumming sound, and im guessing thats my heartbeat
