I was wondering if have a bad cold or flu, or antibiotics can prevent you from staying hard?
Hello im 22 yrs old, my girlfriend and I had sex wednesday and i kept it up, and i have had no previous signs that i couldn't keep it up. Then thursday i got really sick and took an antibiotic called amoxacillin. I took 2 500 mg of them on thursday and thursday afternoon. then i started taking one and then took liquid motrin for my headaches. i then stopped taking them staurday. I felt better but my nose was still congested. So we tried to have sex again and i got a boner but as soon as i stopped it went away. So i was wondering if i should be concered or what i should do? I have never had this problem and its been about 4 days without taking medicen and it still happens. So if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated thank you.

Yea it'll do that, and it'll continue to be like that until about a week or two for the medicine to completely clear from your system, and it'll "stick around" longer the more blood flow into that area occurs so try to just chill out for a week

First off taking antibiotics for a cold is irresponsible all you are doing is building a tolerance that will make it harder for antibiotic meds to do there job when you are actually sick a cold does not equal sick enough for antibiotics. Second when you don't feel 100% your body focuses it's energies on fixing the affliction which is more important than getting an erection, so it's quite normal to not be able to preform sexually when you are feeling a little under the weather. Keep it in your pants till you feel better and you'll be fine.
