Is it ok to take cold medicine after getting a swine flu shot.?
I just got the swine flu shot 3 days ago and now I have a cold. I do remember da clinic telling me that I couldn't take flu medicines containing tTamilfor 30 days after getting he vaccine. But I don't recall not being able to to take cold medicine. Does anyone know because I need to get rid of this cold quick.

you cant get rid of a cold with medicine. but unless the ingredients in the medicine contain what your doctor said you shouldnt take, i think it would be fine.

You can take cold medication, it should not interact with the shot you got. Plus, just on a side note, if you have flu symptoms you CAN take Tamiflu, you might just have the regular flu which is a different strain of flu virus from the H1N1 (swine). Feel Better!

Yes, you can take over the counter (OTC) cold medicines -- kinds you can buy without a prescription. They will not have any effect on your vaccine.
