You came to England in JANUARY?! What were you thinking? It's the worst time of year for bugs and colds, we're now suffering from the horrendouse Noro virus, which causes projectile vomitting...so thank your lucky stars you didn't catch that one!
Our weather is too temperamental, ie. mild and windy one day then freezing cold and snowing the next. This plays havoc with peoples' immune systems and makes us all more susceptible to bugs. Plus, so many of our jobs involve working inside, cooped up with other people and breathing in more bugs that get filtered around via the air-conditioning. It's not the best place to be any time of the year!
I'd recommend you never come back! I'm unfortunate enough to live here, I have no choice! My dad got out a few years ago and emigrated to Greece...I plan to do the same in my later years!
