Should Kids be allowed to eat candy and sweets when they have a cold/flu?
My wife and I disagree on this point. I think kids shouldnt eat candy when they are sick. My wife said its ok. My thoughts are that if a kid had a sore throat from a cold they shouldnt aggrevate it more with sweets that would coat their sore throats. My mom never gave us sweets when we were sick so thats where i learned this habit i guess. What are your thoughts about this and is my wife right or am i?

it wont hurt anything but it wont make anything better. give them ice cream to help.

nooooo its not good for them... u know what really works?? some warm lemon juice with honey.... it soothes ur throat and feels good. don't give your kids any vitamins or milk b/c that makes it worse and strengthens the virus......... i heard ice cream is good for them, but only their throats and if they have a fever...
