Stomach flu when can i eat?
I know the saying is starve the flu but feed the cold. I've already lost 6 pounds in 2 days. crazy my entire family has it. I thought people only get the flu in the winter time. so it's 90 degrees and having a fever does not feel good. I'm afraid to eat tired of throwing up. should i wait until after the symptoms are over to eat?

It's stuff a cold, starve a FEVER, not the stomach flu. You can eat when you think you will keep it down. Try white bland bread or crackers, if those stay down, you can move up to toast. You need to eat things that will absorb the "bile" waters. Yuk...
EDIT: If it continues (even with the fever, which you should currently be having small ice chips and some form of electrolites (gatorade frozen in ice trays and crushed into small bits), you should see a doctor, it may be food poisoning which also comes along with a fever at times, especially if the whole family got it around the same time. BTW I had "assumed" you had been drinking something these past few days, just make sure you get electrolites into all of those effected by this. Also, to stay hydrated, soak in a tub or take frequent showers, those are the quickest ways to help maintain hydration.

Start eating as soon as your stomach can tolerate it. Start out with clear liquids; For example, 7-up,cranberry juice, broth, jello, etc. If you are able to hold those things down, then you can work your way up to solids, the blander the better. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
