The first difference you will notice is that Influenza comes on fast. You can be OK, then a couple of hours later you will be aching and clinging to the nearest radiator, feeling sick, shaking, dizzy etc.
The main problem caused by inaccurate use of the term 'flu' to cover milder diseases, is that people underestimate the seriousness of the threat posed by influenza.
