what causes colour blindness and is it and infectious disease like the common cold and influenza?
I'm doing my young scientist card,so can anyone tell me how to do this one? ( If can...can anyone tell me how to do all the young geneticist,food scientist card? All the question...Cannot, never mind )

I'll answer the first part but the 2nd part is very confusing.

You are born with color blindness. Its genetic and most prevalent in men. There are different types, red, green.

Red looks like brown, green can look blue. It depends on the type of color blind you are.

It is NOT infectious !

Colour blindness is not an infectious disease. Colour blindness is hereditary. A person who is colour blind has received both recessive traits from their parents.

Colour blindness is inherited with the x-chromosome.
A male with a single colourblindness X will be colourblind. A female needs 2 colourblindness X's to be colourblind, but only 1 to be a carrier.
