What precisely are the symptoms of the flu?
I can never really tell the difference between the flu and a cold.
The other day I began to have a deep cough which started to make my throat hurt and now today I'm achy and sneezing and feel bad with chest congestion. But I do not have a fever and I am not nauceous as other people tell me happens to them when they get the flu. I feel bad and tired but not weak, or anything. I really want to know the difference or if I have the flu, just a mild form of it?

Sudden onset of fever (usually a high fever > 102 deg. ), body aches, bone aches, head aches & congestion, the chills and a general feeling of being very ill.
Flu usually comes on rather quickly and hangs about for a few days or even a week....and there's no mistaking that you have it.
Have a blessed Christmas :-)
