Why do people who have the flu don't heal right away?
Even if people take medicines for flu they never heal right away. The flu always take its time to go full course no matter how much medicine the patient takes.
What is flu? It is a type of bacteria that got into people every season on purpose put in our systems via wind. The flu season is always prepared by the bugs that claimed that they are the dead risen., The floor of the streets are dirty with pigeon's poop, spit of sick people, food, birds' poop, vomiting, urine, feces of dogs and cats, all types of animals' dander in addition to eggs of all insects like roaches, worms, and other vermins, and such. Then the wind came violently and distributes all these filth on our clothes, in our mouth, nose, ears, face, and everywhere. People lick their lips and they swallow the eggs and all filth that was on their mouth. Now during that period everyone is impregnated with vermins and as bacteria do you get the flu which is a period of pregnancy where the body is trying to get adjusted with the new owners of the body such as winter or summer. So everybody is pregnant and everyone gets the flu even if you don't share it.
So the doctors know that because they are agents of bacteria and the world is made for the dead after all and the vermins that are in everyone are from the dead risen. They are the "holy spirits" of the season. Those who hate us and create this world for us have to everything for their gods. So the pharmacists of the gods: ra and re, the bacteria ruling presently, made the medicine for cold with listerine and sugar, which are fats that the vermins need to multiply safely in your body. So they pretend to give you medicine, that's cruel while giving the bacteria time to adjust in your body. Even children get impregnated under the benevolent eyes of the agents of the gods: the doctors and pharmacists. If they die? Oh well. The gods have flesh to eat and the vermins from the child become angels to live in the clouds.
So you don't heal when you have the flu because the medicines for the flu are made for the dead, which is the vermin bacteria you are impregnated with, and not for the people who have the bacteria. So when you get well, it is because the dead finish to establish themselves as the new owner of your body for the season until the next season.
Before viruses like you that do not let people e-mail them answer, you need to go to the drugstores to verify what I say. Know that bacteria need to ingredients to multiply: Fat and sugar. As viruses, you know that already. I am talking to people. No coward viruses are allowed to answer.

Help that makes you want to smell the sea, which is a stinky swamp, and say that that "it smells good.". Help that makes you see an ugly butterfly and calls it "beautiful". Help that makes you see a handicap child that is harmed by bacteria and call such child an "angel." I think humans are sick to condemn all to become pods for bugs that eat the dead because they want to live in "peace". Their peace cost us our health. They, the humans, at least had the choice to accept that these bugs live in them. Others were forced to accept these or tricked into it. But the humans were tricked to even though today they are

Flu is a process that the body has to go through occasionally to boost its immunity.

Like FCS said, Influenza is caused by a virus, not bacteria.
You don't get well straight away because antibiotics can only treat bacterial infections, not viral infections. So other than giving you something like Interferon (which no doctor is going to prescribe you simply for a normal case of the flu), then all you get are some remedies to ease some of the symptoms. In the meantime, you wait on your immune system taking care of the virus, hence it normally takes a week or two to recover.
As for talk of Egyptian gods,and ressurected zombie bacteria ruling the world of the dead.........I'd advise you stop trying to treat your flu by smoking crack.

Interesting theory, as the prior answer noted, flu is caused by a virus, not bacteria. "Dead" materials can harm us - poisons and so forth - but most serious disease is caused by living things. Mostly we get sick due to living invaders - bacteria, virus, amoeba, fungus, mites, and so on - or we get sick due problems in our own living cells: cancer cells reproducing out of control, immune cells attacking our own tissues, blood vessels getting clogged or breaking, hormonal imalances and so on.
Illness is much more associated with life, not death; after all, once you die you cant get sick.
Flu is caused by virus infections in our respiratory tract, and our immune system isn't all that effective on the surfaces of our throats and lungs, so it takes a while for the antibodies and associated cytokines to build up to a high enough level to defeat the invaders. Much of the discomfort associated with the flu (fevers, muscle pains) are caused by our own immune systems reaction to the infection.
