Why do we have all this technology/etc, but we still can't cure the common cold virus, etc?
We can go to space, have technology galore, can dye hair 1000000 different colors, all sorts of things, yet we can't cure a SIMPLE virus??!?!?
I was in the ER two days ago with a really bad virus/flu, and ALL they could do for me, in this extremely large hospital with extremely advanced technology, was to give me IV saline solution with a pain killer?!!??!?
I mean come on now! This is getting embarassing!

Ok, first of all a virus isn't SIMPLE. Do you realise what our bodies are capable of???? Maybe you need to study it. You seem to mention you have been in the ER A LOT!! Do you have something wrong with you? Maybe you're not taking care of yourself. Remember, prevention is always better than a cure. If you eat all the wrong foods, don't exercise your immune system is going to go down the drain and not protect as much as it could. Our bodies are SO powerful, they are amazing. If you look after it well, you won't have to complain about sitting in the ER and listening to those small minded nurses talk about their tiny boring robotic lunch breaks. Also, just to add technology has nothing to do with the power of our NATURAL body functions. Yes we can do anything with technology, but our bodies function in a way that sometimes is not compatible to technology. If you could do that, we would have got rid of cancer, MS, tumours, whatever it might be all those awful things that occur which is terrible. IF they did have a cure, they WOULD use it. It's not always about technology, we have nervous systems etc etc... our bodies have far too much to offer, more than technology could ever do.

Because the cold virus mutates a lot. You build antibodies to 1 virus then it mutates and you get sick with the new virus. You usually don't get sick from the same virus twice, if your immune system is healthy. Each illness is a new virus. This is why that can't cure the common cold, there are millions of common colds out there.
