do i have the common cold or swine flu?
i have a slight ear ache, runny/stuffed up nose, my temp. is 99.2, and my head hurts sometime, along with my eyes. one thing i do not have is a sore throat, and isn't that the most common sign of swine flu?
i've had it for only two day and seems to be getting a little better.

i'm pretty sure it's just a cold but i just wanted to see.
also, if you have had swine flu, what were your symptoms?

According to the CDC, like seasonal flu, symptoms of swine flu infections can include:

fever, which is usually high, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent
cough
runny nose or stuffy nose
sore throat
body aches
headache
chills
fatigue or tiredness, which can be extreme
diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu
Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.

There is a test you can take at your county health department. It's called a rapid flu test and it will let you know if you have the swine flu or another flu. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids and get rest!

I had whatever you have. Low fever, stuffed up, runny nose, headache, and a sore throat. My friend had the swine flu, her fever was much higher and she was sick for like 2 weeks. I was freaking out that I got it from her, but I didn't. If you're really that concerned, or don't feel better in a few days, go to the doctor. I seriously doubt you have the swine flu with those symptoms.
