How long do flu symptoms from a flu shot last?
My parents (ages 56 and 60) got flu shots today and are now feeling awful. Now I know some people do feel bad after a flu shot but I wanted to know how long does this feeling normally last?

A couple of days.
I had that experience in college when we got flu shots and all my friends felt sick too so I know it wasn't just random. I've mentioned this since to my colleagues (I"m a nurse) and everyone swears it's not possible to feel sick after a flu shot. I refused to get one right after I gave birth because I didn't want to be caring for a baby, recovering from a c-section, and feeling like I have the flu. The nurse trying to give me the shot looks at me all condescending and says I'm imagining this. Whatever. But when we were in college, we all felt bad and it lasted a couple of days.

For me it lasts about a day or two. Elderly can keep it in their systems longer, so i'd say about two to four days. Maybe qicker, maybe longer. Good Luck!!! Tell them I said feel beter :)
