How many major variations of influenza/cold viruses exist at one point of time?
In other words, when everyone at the office/school is sick, how many variations of the cold virus is there? And if there are multiple variations, is there anything that prevents us from contracting all of them at once?

there are, at any given time about 20,000 viruses in any given area. Yes you could get all of them at one time.
