I have a fever and cold chills but no cold symptoms, can anyone help with diagnosis?
My temp is about 101 and it started suddenly after work today. I got home and started shivering and could not get warm and then i checked my temp. I have no other symptons, just fatigue and fever. ANy ideas on my illness?

You might have a viral infection/or bacterial infection, get to a Dr., as soon as you can, so they can properly diagnose you.

Sounds like the flu. The real deal. Many people think they have the flu, when they just have a bad cold. Especially since it started suddenly and you have a high fever. You'll probably get achy if you're not already. If it's early enough in the illness, you might be able to get medicine like Tamiflu from your doctor (call him/her ASAP). Take a few days off to sleep, drink as much fluid as you can stand, and suffer through. It sucks, but there's not much you can do. Hey, at least it's not the bird flu... Feel better!

There can be all kinds of diagnosis for your symptoms, you need to give much more information than that, but having chills while fever sounds like something acute, so there is no point guessing, you are better off to see the doctor, quick.

always when there is fever there is infection except (heat stroke) this is due to prostaglandins which set up the hypothalamus at higher temperature but the body still remain in near normal temperature so you feel cold ,so please consult a doctor so you may have sore throat ,chest infection ,liver infection ,urinary tract infection ,or cardiac infection .i hope u have a minor problem .
