What do you think I have? Cold or flu? Swine flu?
Sore throat, cough, fever of 101 for only a day, body aches, chills, and sleepiness. What kinda flu/cold do you think I have? Does this look like the swine flu? Im 34 wks. pregnant and feeling pretty bad so I would just like someones advice. Thanks!

Since swine flu is just one of hundreds of flu viruses out there how would we know which one it might be?

It sounds lie your just going through the flu. If you had the swine flu you would be in a lot of pain not being able to talk and walk. When you are pregnant since your 34 weeks in. Your body is still moving around organs into different spots for the baby to grow. Causing your immune system and respiratory system to lower its production rate. Nothing bad will happen to you I promise that. Just take it easy for awhile. Rest drink lots of water(6 to 8 glasses) also green tea to boost your immune system as well as add honey into it to sooth your throat and eat healthy foods(fruits, veggies.) I hope you feel much better :)

Hi sweetie, sorry to say but it does sound like Swine flu (I have it myself). Try not to worry too much. Ring whatever helpline you have in your city, I'm not sure if the antivirals that will make you feel a little better are okay if you are pregnant. It's a bit rough but it doesn't usually last too long. Good luck with your new baby and congrats.

It definitely sounds like more than just a cold and I believe the "common" flu has not spread yet, so it could be swine.
If you weren't pregnant I'd suggest that you get under as many blankets as possible, get some sleep and hopefully "break the fever" but the protocol may be different being pregnant. Hope you feel better soon.

Please do not listen to people who have no clue what they are talking about. Please go to this website, www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/sick.htm . This is the government's website and tells you specifically what symptoms to look for. In my opinion, you very likely have the swine flu. I have just been through it myself and am starting to feel better after a week of being sick. Being that you are pregnant, I think it VERY import that you at least speak to your Doc. I hope you feel better soon!
