What is the difference between a cold & a flu? Also, would you recommend a flu shot?
I don't think I ever had the flu. I know the flu is more severe than a cold. Also, I hear good & bad things about getting the flu shot. What is the real truth? Is it good to get the flu shot or not?

I don't think there is concrete proof that the shots prevent the flu or eve limit the flu. I haven't had a flu shot in over 20 years......yes I have gotten sick after one of the kids brought home a germ/virus, but I got over it.
If you get sick, keep an eye on your temperature. If your temperature does not break, you may need medical attention and probably antibiotics..........
I believe that flu shot only benefit the pharmaceutical companies!

The two viruses are very similar, but where they affect is different. The cold virus affects the nasal area, and the flu affects the whole body. The flu shot only protects you against certain strains of the virus. I would recommend it, better safe than sorry. If you don't like shots you can get a flu mist. You put it in your nose, no needles required :)
